Plain Flat Yellow Noodle Dry (Plain Mee Pok Dry) 素面薄干

Bit Bit wanted to make mee pok for dinner, but is unable to make fishball mee pok or ba chor mee, as there is no fishball at home and Pig cannot eat meat. So Bit Bit decided to make just a bowl of plain mee pok dry.

The plain mee pok dry only takes about 8 minutes.

Things that Bit Bit found out about plain mee pok dry:
  • Mee pok can be eaten with almost any ingredients, for example, fishball mee pok, ba chor mee pok (minced meat mee pok), wonton mee pok, or any other of one's favourite food.
  • Mee pok is a food whereby almost all Singaporeans have eaten before. Bit Bit ate mee pok from young, whether spicy with sambal chilli or sweet sour with ketchup. Bit Bit remembers eating fishball mee pok, but end up not eating the fishballs, just the mee pok because it is too yummy.
  • There are two types of mee pok, one of them has egg added, while the other uses lye-water. For vegetarians, remember to get the lye-water one.
  • Other than adding sambal chilli to mee pok, one can add ketchup instead for non-spicy eaters.
